About this kind of case

What this involves.

A serious fall or accident can break a leg bone into pieces or leave it badly out of line. Healing well depends on putting the bone back in its proper position and holding it there.

The broken bone is realigned and fixed — with plates, screws or a rod as the injury needs — so it can heal straight and strong. Movement and weight-bearing are then reintroduced step by step.

Every fracture is different. The method of fixing it and the recovery plan are chosen for the specific injury and the person.
