Privacy Policy

This site collects very little, and only what you choose to enter. Here is exactly what happens to it, in plain language.

Who this applies to

This policy covers visitors to this website, in India and elsewhere. The site is operated for the practice of Dr. Vikram L, orthopaedic surgeon, Mysuru. It is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) in mind, and applies regardless of where you are visiting from.

What the contact form collects

If you fill in the appointment request form, you may provide:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address, only if you choose to enter it
  • Your preferred clinic and preferred time
  • A short description of your concern, if you choose to write one

These details are used for one purpose: to help arrange your orthopaedic consultation. We ask only for what is needed to do that.

Where your form details go

At present, the form does not save your details to any database, and it does not send an automatic email. When you submit the form, the website simply assembles the details you entered into a message and offers you two ways to send it yourself:

  • WhatsApp:a prefilled message you can review and send to the clinic. This uses WhatsApp, and WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply to that conversation.
  • Phone: a tap-to-call link, so you can read the same details to us directly.

In other words, nothing leaves your device until you choose to send it. When you contact the clinic by WhatsApp or phone, the clinic keeps your message as it would any other patient enquiry.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising cookies, and it does not run website analytics or visitor tracking. We do not build a profile of you or follow you across other sites. The site is served over a content delivery network to load quickly; standard server logs may record basic technical information such as the time of a request, as is normal for any website.

How long details are kept

Because the form does not store anything, there is no website database of your details to retain. Any message you send by WhatsApp or read out by phone is kept by the clinic only for as long as needed to arrange and provide your care, and as required by applicable medical record-keeping rules.

Your choices and your rights

Under the DPDP Act and good practice generally, you can ask the clinic to tell you what enquiry details it holds about you, to correct them, or to delete them, subject to any record-keeping the clinic is legally required to maintain. To make any such request, contact the clinic using the details below.

Children

The website is intended for adults arranging care for themselves or for family members. Where care concerns a child, a parent or guardian should make contact on the child's behalf.

How to reach us about your data

To ask about, correct, or delete any enquiry details, please contact the clinic:

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the website grows — for example, if an appointment system or analytics is added later. Any such change will be reflected here, and material changes will be described in plain language.
